How can we help?

ORDERING

  • At Hasho, we are committed to providing the highest quality products and customer service. However, since our poppy seed products are food items, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges.

If there is an issue with your order, such as a delivery problem or a concern with the product you received, please reach out to our customer service team. We are happy to work with you to make things right.

To ensure you receive exactly what you need, we encourage you to double-check your order details before finalizing your purchase. If you have any questions or need assistance with your order, don’t hesitate to contact us—we’re here to help!

  • Once your order ships you’ll receive an email notification that includes your order tracking information.

If you don’t receive this email, please contact us with your order information so we can correct this.

  • Sorry to hear that! Please send an email to support@gethasho.com with an image of the damage and the product expiration date. We'll coordinate a replacement free of charge.

PRODUCTS

  • All Hasho poppy seed products have a shelf life of 18 months. The expiration date is clearly printed on each package.

  • Yes, Hasho poppy seeds are completely safe to eat. However, consuming large amounts might result in trace opiates being detected on sensitive drug tests, though this is rare and temporary. Always consult your healthcare provider if you have concerns.

  • While our ingredients do not contain gluten and our poppy seed products are naturally gluten-free, our facility also processes wheat and tree nuts. Although we take extensive precautions to prevent cross-contamination—including separate production runs and thorough cleaning protocols—we do not label our products as “gluten-free” out of an abundance of caution for those with severe allergies or sensitivities.

  • We recommend storing Hasho poppy seed paste in a cool, dry place—not in the refrigerator. Due to moisture, refrigeration can affect the texture and quality of the paste. Just make sure the lid is tightly sealed, and keep it away from direct sunlight or heat.

  • We sometimes get asked this! While we can’t make any medical or health claims, we can say that poppy seeds are naturally rich in essential nutrients like zinc, magnesium, and healthy fats—minerals that support overall wellness and hormonal balance. However, our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.

  • Yes, unwashed poppy seeds can contain trace opiate residues. However, our products use thoroughly cleaned, food-grade seeds safe for culinary use.

  • Yes, they are. In Turkey, the commercial cultivation of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) is strictly prohibited by law, with stringent regulations and serious penalties for non-compliance. This means our poppy seeds come from crops that are naturally non-GMO by default. Additionally, poppy seeds are a resilient crop that typically requires little to no chemical intervention to grow. At Hasho, we collaborate with experienced farmers who follow traditional and sustainable farming practices, ensuring that our products are pure, natural, and trustworthy.

  • Always consult your healthcare provider, but moderate use of culinary poppy seeds is generally considered safe for most people.

  • While poppy seeds are legal in many countries, customs regulations vary. We recommend checking local laws if you're planning to travel internationally with them.

  • Unlike nut butters or tahini, poppy seed paste has a deeper, nuttier flavor and is made purely from poppy seeds, with no added sugar or preservatives.

  • No—our pastes and spreads are made with minimal, natural ingredients. What you see is what you get.
